Girls ’11 – Orange
The G11 Orange team is completing its 1st year of competition. They are playing in the 3rd division of the Greater Cincinnati Soccer League. The team is coached by Kevin Hommel (Head Coach) and Brad Zappin (Assistant Coach). The team did their community service project volunteering at Matthew 25 Ministries during the Fall 2019 season, which was a great learning experience for them.
Head Coach: Kevin Hommel
Kevin has over 35 years of playing experience. He played competitively on multiple select teams growing up, was a regular at goalkeeper training camps, was selected as an alternate to the U16 Olympic Development Team for the state of Oklahoma, and played varsity soccer in high school. Kevin has been coaching youth soccer since 2014 and currently coaches two Storm teams and one rec team. He also coaches FC Storm goalkeepers. Kevin holds USSF “F” and “E” licenses as well as a NSCAA GK1 license.
Assistant Coach: Brad Zappin
Brad has coached several Boys and Girls Storm teams dating back to the Club’s inception in 2016. He has a US Soccer “E” license and loves to watch players develop as athletes and, more importantly, individuals. Brad is passionate about putting player’s first and giving the sport back to kids. Off the field, he lives in Loveland with his wife, 4 kids and 2 dogs. He received a BS from The Ohio State University and an MBA from Xavier.
