High School Program
The high school program is built around the needs of high school age players who have completed their freshman year to players finishing their senior year (U15 to U19). The High School program is under the direction of Anthony Doherty, Sr. Director of Coaching. Anthony has served as the Varsity Assistant Coach for Mens Soccer at Loveland High School. He currently holds a USSF C Coaching License.
FC Storm High School teams offer players an opportunity to continue to develop technical and tactical skills coupled with more rigorous game strategy training. Teams will participate in regional Showcase Tournaments in November, December and early March.
Teams begin to practice after the fall high school season is over and train through early December. Training resumes in January at outdoor turf fields.
The FC Storm High School Program is for players U15-U19 who are not playing soccer for their High School, are home schooled or attend a school that does not have a high school soccer program. Boys and Girls teams will be formed. Teams will play matches against high school teams and other high school club teams. The program is designed for serious players who want to continue to develop and refine their soccer skills for their spring club season. Teams will be composed of players from U15 to U19 and be led by professional coaches.
Tryouts will be held at two times. Initial tryouts will be conducted in May during FC Storm tryout week. Second tryouts will occur in early August after high school rosters have been set to accommodate players who did not make a high school team. Tryout information will be posted on the FC Storm website www.fcstorm.org
FC Storm High School teams will participate in all FC Storm training activities, including team camp in August. Teams will train 2-3 times per week through October.
The FC Storm High School program is open to players from any club. It is a fall only program and players from other clubs are expected to play with that club in their normal spring season. FC Storm players will return to their spring team for winter and spring training.
